Allen Duncan
Chief Executive Officer

Allen has recently joined Golden Macadamias as CEO. Allen has many years of experience in the agro processing business. He joins us from the Eastern Cape pineapple industry where he was Managing Director of Summerpride Foods for the past 7 years. He has a wealth of experience in the processing and marketing of agricultural products both locally and internationally. He will use these experiences to ensure Golden Macadamias has the capacity to process the quality nuts from suppliers and sell these in the most quality conscious markets worldwide. He will focus on meeting the expectations of the major roll players in the organization, the customers, staff, suppliers, society and shareholders.

Anél du Toit
Financial Manager

Anél du Toit is currently the Financial Manager of Golden Macadamias. Anél completed her B.Compt. degree at UNISA in June 2002. After completing her 3 year accounting articles she passed SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) final examination and qualified as a practicing member. Anél joined the company in May 2003.

Llewellyn Caetano
Production Manager

Llewellyn Caetano is the Production Manager at Golden Macadamias. He hails from sub-tropical agricultural Management background primarily focusing on subtropical fruit and nuts, initially on the growing and marketing. The later 10 years of his career was spent in the processing of Pecans and Macadamia nuts. He was involved from the inception of Golden Macadamias (Pty)/Ltd and his role involves streamlining the various processes to achieve throughput goals, with particular focus on Quality standards and Food Hygiene and Safety.

Alwyn du Preez
Extension Officer

Alwyn du Preez is currently the Extension Officer of Golden Macadamias. Alwyn studied B.Sc Agriculture (Horticulture and Entomology) at the University of Stellenbosch. He has a wide experience in different tree crops. He grew up on a peach, citrus and arable farm. He gained some valuable knowledge for a year in the apple and pear industry in the UK. He also managed a banana, avocado and macadamia farm for 2 years in the Lowveld. He gained some valuable experience in macadamias through these years.

Dr. Esmé van Jaarsveld
Quality Assurance Manager

Dr. Esmé van Jaarsveld is a qualified Senior Auditor in Food Safety Management Systems. She started her career with a BSc. in Microbiology and Botany, a BSc. Hons degree in Microbiology and a Master's degree cum laude in Microbiology all from the University of the Free State, South Africa. Thereafter, she joined the Lowveld Tobacco Growers Association in 1993 and has since specialized in soil borne plant diseases. She was awarded a CORESTA Tobacco International Study Grant in 1998, which enabled her to conduct part of her PhD research at the University of Queensland in Australia. She obtained a PhD. in Microbiology with academic honorary colours from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has published several scientific papers on fungi causing forestry and tobacco diseases.
