Throughout production, we are committed to maximising quality. From the farmer to the customer, all along the production line, we ensure optimum quality with our total quality commitment.
During farming, we ensure that eco-friendly cultivation takes place. For instance, we promote the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to reduce the use of chemical pesticides. We are also committed to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and all of our farmers will be Eurepgap accredited by 2007.
Once the nuts have been harvested, quality control is also at the heart of our production process. Our processing plant has been Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) accredited since 2002.
We make use of SGS South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Laboratory services and SA Golden Leaf (SAGL) laboratories for independent food safety and quality checks on products. Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) inspectors audit grading and quality standards on product before dispatch. As part of our ongoing commitment to quality we are continually introducing additional quality standards.
